How to Discover Your Purpose?

Trying to discover your purpose can be a scary process. Its like, “what the hell am I here on earth to do?!”

The truth is many people don’t actually know why they’re here. Many think they are here to simply pay bills and make ends meet.

…but when you think about it life can’t actually be that pointless…

There has to be more substance to it.

Even if you found a “purpose” in enjoying every moment of life, that’s a better “purpose” than just making ends meet  because at least people get to look at you and learn how to be joyful as well. Otherwise all they are learning is how to get a check each week and still be miserable.

I highly doubt that God or the creator put us here to just work work work and pay bills until we die!

I believe God put us here to enjoy the plants, fruits and vegetables, talk and laugh with our friends, learn new things, experience each other's creations, express love, and have sex. Just saying.

Hopefully by the end of this post you will be 1 step closer to discovering and starting to serve a purpose.

Becoming a Doctor Wasn't My True Purpose. But it was cute.

I can remember back when I was in Queens College and I was just so confident that I’d become a doctor. At the time I was basically doing a double major because I was majoring in Psychology but I was also in the Pre-Med program. Queens college didn’t have a “Pre-med major” for some reason so instead they had a science program where you could join and still get into Med school.

…my initial dream of becoming a doctor was something I had as a kid because I used to hear adults talking about doctors and praising the ground they walk on for “having a good job”

I also knew they make a great salary and I didn’t come from a family that makes a lot of money.

The only thing was I didn’t ACTUALLY know what being or becoming a doctor entailed.

I was a kid who felt I was put here to do something extraordinary from a very young age. Spiritual people would tell me I'm going to do something great but rarely specified what. But I grew up to realize there are multiple extraordinary paths one could take. Do you ever feel like that?

…ever since I told my family “I want to be a doctor”, it gave them a medical field expectation of me that I would later NOT identify with…

I mean who wouldn't want to go around bragging and saying their son or nephew or cousin is a doctor? To most people that is like the ultimate success. It's something they can understand.

This lead to years of frustration for me because I felt “worthless” for not completing my medical path.

But my heart wasn’t in it. I’m the kind of person who’s heart has to be in something for me to flourish with it.

I understand that the medical field is a booming field that will forever provide jobs to people but I don’t get any joy from being in hospitals or nursing homes. In fact, I usually feel a bit drained and down the second I walk into any hospital.

It’s just not an environment I wouldn't feel good being in every day. Mentally it would take a toll on me. Giving people potential bad news about them or their loved ones is not something I would be able to do.

How to Find Your Purpose by Knowing Yourself?

We tend to glorify and praise paths that we don’t truly understand. It’s a totally different ball game when you are the one studying to be a doctor and preparing to be in that state of mind every day as opposed to just speculating on it.

See for my family it’s always been about the money and the prestige. Nothing else.

For me, it’s about the people’s lives that would be in my hands. For me, it's about my mental health and the way I feel.

I love money too but I also love my freedom.

I love money but I also love to make it in a way where others can make money with me.

…People don’t consider the actual tasks and stress that doctors have to deal with…

In people’s minds it’s like, “If they are a doctor making good money then they are happy.”

But that’s not really true because there are many doctors who experience stress and financial issues. Some even go as far as taking their own drugs to feel better.

So after doing research, going away for a 2-Week Medical Training at Maryland University back in 2009, and me getting extremely queasy anytime I’m around or hear about sickness for too long is why I decided being a doctor wasn’t for me.

I still think being a doctor is awesome!

I still think it is one of the noblest positions a person could have!

I still think it pays great money!

But was it for me?

No.

You can serve a purpose at your job, but will it be at the level you want to do it? Will you be in control?

The way I discovered my purpose is by focusing on my FEELINGS, not just money.

The passion I would get from writing music was undeniable. The feeling I get from making a YouTube video and uplifting someone is unmatched. The feeling I get from teaching people how to become a successful brand is indescribable.

(Your purpose will usually be discovered when you have a vision for yourself that is better than your current situation. If you can't see the possibilities for you and your family then you can't do anything on purpose.)

I couldn’t tell you how many people just love learning from me.

It doesn’t matter where I am or what I’m doing, people just gravitate to me and want to tell me their life story, their traumas, and about their day.

…I never could figure out why…

People I never even saw before would talk to me as if I knew them for 10+ years. To me that was a sign of my purpose.

So then I got started in the direction of life coaching and teaching people the secrets of internet marketing.

If you are finding that you like to talk or the universe keeps showing that you have the power to impact people then it is time to GET STARTED my friend!

…it’s time to put yourself to the test and see what you could really become…

…it’s time to let GOD show up big in your life as he blesses you in front of your enemies…

…it’s time we unify and educate people on how to serve the masses…

You can't always listen to what other people want for you. Sometimes you have to follow your heart and see where the journey takes you. It might be the scariest thing you've ever done but it will be so worth it.

This isn’t the 1920s where we didn’t have computers and various ways to make money on the internet. I’m pretty sure most of the NEW MONEY made today is made digitally. Most of the new millionaires will come from some kind of online business. Today, someone can simply decide they want to give back to other people… people discover them…. And next thing you know money is pouring into their bank account and they don’t even know how it happened.

THAT 'SOMEONE' COULD BE YOU!

It’s called ‘having a definite purpose’ to do something.

...but the last thing you need is somebody telling you what you can and can't do because they don't even have a vsion of their own...

Looking back on it I am happy I made the decision I made because I’ve accomplished so much on this journey and it’s just the beginning. I am ready to create more. I am ready to help more. I am ready to serve more.

You haven’t seen anything yet my friend.

We will help MILLIONS of people break free from financial and mental bondage!!!

That’s a promise.

TOAST TO YOUR SUCCESS,

~Jonathan Belcher
